Veterans Day

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI wrote the poem, “We Must Soldier On” as a metaphor for the spiritual battles and trials we endure in life.  This week, I would like to dedicate it to the service men and women who bravely and selflessly risk their lives for us.  Men like my grandpa, Norman Tibbetts Sr. (WW II) and my uncle, Norman Jr. who served during the Vietnam war and my nephew, Patrick who fought in operation Iraqi Freedom.  It is not for me to say who is right when it comes to war.  Only God can judge, but I am grateful that there are people willing to give their lives for this country.  I cannot thank them enough.  I long to go to Heaven where there will be no more war.

May God bless the soldiers and may we one day know peace on Earth!

2 Timothy 2:4  No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

Love in Christ,
Randall

WE MUST SOLDIER ON

Through the darkest hour, on the longest night, with the wind in our faces as we march to the fight.
WE MUST SOLDIER ON!

Whether in the valley low or the mountain top high; until we taste victory or the last of us die.
WE MUST SOLDIER ON!

Though we may be surrounded with the wolves on our flanks and showers of lead bringing death to our ranks.
WE MUST SOLDIER ON!

Though the odds are against us and it seems we can’t win, and though the battle we march to may bring us our end.
WE MUST SOLDIER ON!

For when it is over and the goal is achieved we’ll thank GOD for his grace for in Him we believed, and we did SOLDIER ON!
