Dearly Beloved: Well, the election is finally over. My predictions were wrong as were many people’s. I know that some of you are very frightened. A very radical change has taken place. As I have stated before, I don’t like either of the candidates. That being said, as an American, I will support my President, flawed as he may be.
I am reminded of I Samuel 8:7-9
“And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee. Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.” The people have spoken and their voices have been heard by God. Just like the Israelites, the people have been given the king that they wanted.
As I have said, I am not a prophet. I am just a watcher. I do not know what kind of leader Mr. Trump will be. Let us pray he is a better man than Saul in I Samuel 8:11-18
“And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants. And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day.”
Let us pray for our new leader. Let us pray for our country. “Father, please guide Mr. Trump and make him the leader that we need him to be. Lord, heal the division in our nation and the world. Amen!” Mr. Trump may frighten many of us, but he is part of God’s plan. For better or for worse, he is our leader and as much as it pains me to say this, we must support him. We have to set aside our differences and be united. We must not continue to let hear cripple us and blind us. Yes, these are scary times. Uncertainty rules the day, but there is one constant guiding force – JESUS CHRIST. He is the only thing in this universe we can count on. Look what’s going on around you. The time to make a decision is now – Right Now! You need to repent and come to the Lord. Please, for the sake of your eternity. The world has gone mad. Only JESUS can save us from ourselves. Now is the time.
Despite what is going on around me, I have peace and joy. I have confidence. I have certainty in an uncertain time. For, I have JESUS in my heart. It does not matter if Mr. Trump turns out to be a maniac and starts World War Three [and I am not saying he will], but even if he did, it wouldn’t matter because I am assured a place in heaven. I have the ultimate insurance policy – salvation! I have been anointed and sanctified by God. Thus, I can be certain of my ultimate destination. Don’t you want that for yourself? Aren’t you tired of living in fear and chaos? If you are, then repeat this prayer:
“Dear Jesus, I know that because of my sin I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins. I believe You rose again so I could live with You. I want to stop living for myself and start living for You. I want Your peace in my life. I want forgiveness for my sins. Please come into my heart and change my life. I want to live with You forever. I want You to be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
If you said it and meant it, then you are my brother or sister in Christ and I welcome you. Please contact us. We want to help you on your journey.
I love all of you. Please give Mr. Trump a chance! May God bless and keep you! May God influence our new leader! May all of you find salvation! Amen!
Love in Christ,
Randall
(A man who has made the right decision. Amen!)
