Acts 11:9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, ‘What God has cleansed you must not call common.’ (NKJV)
I love this verse. Often times I have thought of myself as unclean because of my past. I once spoke to a minister about it and he showed me this verse. I immediately realized that it was talking about me and everyone who is saved. We have been cleansed by the blood of the lamb. We are clean in the eyes of the Lord. Who are we to question God if He says we are clean and we continue to follow His Word, then we are clean. “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” Some people think they are too dirty to be saved. The Jews who followed Christ thought that Gentiles (non-Jews) were too dirty to be saved, but God explained to Peter that the gift of salvation is for all mankind. Any of us who believe in Christ shall be saved regardless of race, color, creed or past sins. Amen!
