Why Me, God?

RyanMcGuirePhoto_cc0_145_1I Peter 1:3-7  “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.  In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,”

Dear Readers,  How many times have you found yourself asking, “Why me, God?”  Now, that question is a double-sided coin.  You see, sometimes we ask that question out of gratitude and that is the only time we should.  It’s okay to ask that question if we are doing so with praise.  For instance, if we receive some wonderful blessing – of course, all blessings are wonderful – and we say “God, thank you Father; but why me, Lord?  I am not worthy.”  That’s proper.  That is being humble.  Now, on the flip side of that coin, there are the times when we face great trials and during those times we say, “God, why me?  What did I do to You to deserve this?”  When you put it in that context, you’re not being humble.  You’re being haughty and prideful.  When we feel that way, we need to ask ourselves, “Why not me?”

Spread The Word!!!

pexels.com/photo/marketing-man-person-communication-362/Dear Readers:

I Thessalonians 1:8  “For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.”

Greetings and blessings to you, my brothers and sisters.  I pray that the Lord’s peace and prosperity are presiding over you.  I send my love to each and every one of you.  You are all in my prayers daily.  I am overjoyed today because I have just realized that the site has been up for 13 months now.  Praise God!  As I ponder this, I am reminded of Mark 16:15 “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.'” and Psalm 67:2  “That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.”  That is the mission that God has given to all of us.  We must preach the gospel to the whole world.  And, with this site, I and my brothers and sisters are doing just that.  Hallelujah!  I thank all of you and I ask you to join us in spreading the gospel.  Tell everyone you meet about the Good News Gospel.  Spread the word!  You can even do so online by sharing this site with others or messaging and emailing scriptures.  I try to incorporate the Good News into every conversation I have.  Sometimes we do so just by our actions.  When we walk upright, people can see the glory of God in us.   (more…)

The Humble Servant

thecomingkingfoundation.org/images/Sculptures/DS/DivineServantSculpture.JPGJohn 13:12-17  So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?  You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.  If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.  If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Dear Readers, As you have read from the scripture at the beginning of this post, we are called to serve.  Even the mighty King of Kings bowed down and humbled Himself in service.  One of the lowliest jobs a servant or slave could perform at the time John 13 was written was the washing of guests feet.  People wore sandals then and their feet were often filthy from walking.  When the guest was considered important or honored, the lady of the house would humble herself and do the task herself as a sign of great respect.  It was unheard of for a King to perform such a task, let alone the King of all Kings, the Lord God.  Jesus has always led by example.  He came to earth – not with a crown of gold, dressed in fine linen.  No sir!  He was incarnated as an ordinary human being.  He grew up as a common laborer.  He was born in an animal pen, not a palace.  The most powerful being in existence lived a humble life as a lesson to us.  There was nothing remarkable about Jesus, the fleshly man; but spiritually, He was and is beyond measure.

As I sit here on my 40th day in state prison (all of which has been spent in solitary confinement) and I read how humble the Lord is, I feel compelled to serve Him even more.  I have been teaching what I can out in the recreation cages which I am allowed in for one hour a day.  I have also been spreading the gospel through my cell door and of course, writing this blog, but it is not enough.  Indeed, the worst part about being in solitary is not being able to help more inmates; not being able to fellowship and attend church.  It has caused me great despair and sadness.   (more…)

FOCUS

gratisography.com/pictures/35_1.jpgMatthew 21:21-22  So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Dear Readers, The Lord can bring you into focus.  So much of our lives are unfocused and undisciplined when we are not focused on God.  How many times have you had a great idea for a business or a job you wanted?  Maybe when you were young you wanted to be a doctor or lawyer. Maybe you wanted to own a certain home or visit another part of the world.  Many of us had dreams that we never realized.  Why?  We lack focus.  We lack faith.  We lack the ability to believe in greatness.  We lack a proper relationship with God.  The Lord says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” [Matthew 6:33]  You see, our life on earth is school.  We are here to learn.  When you deeply study the Word, you realize that everything that God does is meant to teach us.  By focusing on Him, we learn how to have faith and belief.   (more…)

Created To Love And Worship

Randall Daluz - Cloud Of LightRomans 8:18-21  For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Dear Readers,  We were created out of love.  We were made to love our Creator and each other.  We are meant to worship our Father, GOD, Who is the Creator of the entire universe.  We were meant to be one with God and each other, but our choice to sin created a schism that caused us to be separated from the Lord.  Some of you may be on the fence when it comes to God and Christianity.  In fact, some of you who are reading this may not believe at all.  Perhaps you are just curious and that curiosity brought you here.  Curiosity is good.  God gave it to us to inspire us to seek and find the truth.  Like any loving parent, He enjoys watching us discover.  You may be skeptical and think it quixotic to ponder God or His purpose for us. Strengthen Your Entire Being

gratisography.com/pictures/140_1.jpgI Corinthians 6:19-20  Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Dear Readers,
I have been working out my body for the past 18 months.  I have been working out my spirit, mind and soul for 33 months.  In time, I came to realize how important it is to strengthen one’s entire being.  God created a beautiful and complex machine in the human being.  All of us are truly amazing.  Praise God!  I have come to realize that clean living through healthy habits strengthens not only ourselves but our relationship with God.  It makes us better human beings and better servants.  To optimize our relationship with God and each other, we need to strengthen our entire being.  When I work out and break a sweat, I can feel the toxins leaving my body through my pores.  I can feel the clean energy entering my body and the bad energy being expelled.  At the end, I get such a calmness about me.  I feel relaxed and energized at the same time.  I find it to be the perfect state of mind to meditate on the Word and praise God.  We must remember that our spirit is like a muscle also.  We must work every part of our being.   (more…)

All We Need Is JESUS

Randall Daluz - My Chains Are GoneRomans 8:38-39  For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dear Readers,
I currently have nothing when it comes to the material world.  In the free world, I had too much at times, though none of it ever seemed like it was enough.  I still felt empty.  I did not stop and realize that even 1% of what I had was more than the majority of the people in the third world have.  By their standards, I was very wealthy.  You see, I was spiritually empty; which means I never felt fulfilled.  Presently, I am in solitary confinement – physically.  I sleep on a thin mat placed atop a concrete slab; locked in a dull, cold and drab cage.  I have no physical possessions.  Not even the pen I am writing with is my own.  My physical movement is so restricted that anytime I leave my cage, I am in chains on my hands and feet.  I am chained even to use the phone or shower.  Thus, not even the movements I make are my own.  My physical life is dictated by my captors.  Yet, I am more free and more wealthy than I have ever been.  I have everything I need; For I have Jesus with me.  My captors cannot dictate my relationship with Christ.  They cannot chain or arrest it.  I own my relationship with my LORD.  It belongs to Jesus and I.  We are partners.  We are going to get through this together.  You see, they think that they have me in solitary confinement, but the joke is on them.  Yes sir, it is… because there is nothing solitary about my confinement.  There is nothing solitary about my life.  Do you know why?  Because JESUS is with me every step of the way.  Hallelujah!  Praise His Name!  When you have a relationship with Christ, no one can take it away.  No one can change it.  I still have joy in my heart. Solid As A Rock

Randall Daluz - The Solid RockLuke 6:46-49  “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?  Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.  But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell.  And the ruin of that house was great.”

Dear Readers:  Today is my first day of prison.  As I expected, I am in the super-max.  They say it is for my safety.  They have put me on the most restrictive level.  For now, I am being confined to my cell for 24 hours a day.  I am not allowed to use the telephone – which they say is for my safety.  I am only allowed to shave once a week and I can only shower 3 times a week.  My cell is small and as I look around, I can feel the suffering and loneliness which has no doubt been endured by many, many men.  There are blood stains on the ceiling, walls and floor.  They are signs of the depravity, which becomes some men, when their loneliness and pain overtakes them.  I am not, nor do I intend to be one of those men.  You see, I possess something that they do not have – the love of Christ.  The Lord is my Rock.  HE is solid.  I have built my house of faith upon Him.  Thus, my faith is secure and shall not fail me. A Life Worth Living

Randall_Daluz_serpentanddoveMatthew 10:16-20  Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Dear Readers:  I have some astonishing news.  As many of you know, a judge made a politically motivated decision which wrongfully denied me a new trial.  Admittedly, the first two days were very hard.  I had a root of bitterness in me after my attorney gave me the news.  Through much prayer and fasting, the Spirit of the Lord reminded me to overcome my despair.  I am currently very much at peace.  Praise God!  You see, the Lord reminded me that I have a battle to fight for His namesake.  This evil and tyrannical, racist and unjust justice system is attempting to stop myself and others from publicly proclaiming the name of my Lord and teaching His Word worldwide.  They are trying to stifle our God-given creativity by silencing our faith.  I am here to tell you folks that fascism is alive and well in present day America.

The first couple of days, my flesh was troubled.  It caused me to focus on myself and how I have been wronged.  I was tormented and discouraged.  I felt victimized and defeated.  I prayed and cried to my Lord repeatedly and He answered my prayers.  On the third day, I instantly knew peace.  The Lord awakened my spirit and opened my eyes.  He put it on my heart that I have been anointed to serve Him.  Hallelujah!  He said, “Son, your captivity is necessary; for you have a mission to complete.”   (more…)

Pursue Peace With All People

odb.org pinterest photoPsalm 34:14
Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.

Dear Readers,
As I am writing this, I have 9 days left until I am sentenced.  It has been such a long journey through the jail system.  Soon I will transition to the prison system.  I have had my differences with some of the staff and inmates here, but I have done my best to remain peaceful.  The Lord has put it on my heart not to be bitter, no matter my circumstances.  And thus, I have chosen to leave here in peace.

There was a man here who sometimes called me racial slurs and did his best to aggravate me to no end.  We had the occasional argument and spouted obscenities to one another over the past year.  But, I never could stay mad at him.  God showed me his pain.  He gave me a heart for this man.  I see beyond his racist tattoos and rhetoric.  I see a man who is hurting and in need of love and guidance.  I see a man who needs Jesus.  This man and I had an argument about a month ago and we did not speak for several weeks.  When I was denied a new trial, he read about it in the paper.  I hadn’t seen him for two weeks.  He had stopped going out to the rec yard, but the day after he read the news, he came outside.  He walked over to me, shook my hand and gave me a huge hug. [He is a giant of a man.]  He said, “I am so sorry for you, Randall.  It is not right – your not getting a new trial.  I am praying for you, brother.”  What a beautiful sentiment.  It warms my heart just to think of it.
